Day One
Fly into the Liberia Airport and connect with your private 3 hour transfer to La Fortuna where you can experience the unique rainforest landscapes of the Majestic Arenal Volcano. Please feel free to stop along the way for viewpoints, bathroom breaks or restaurant stops. This is included in your service.

Arrive at your first hotel: Arenal Paraiso!

A haven for families because even when you aren’t doing tours you will find plenty to do right there on the grounds. Unpack and settle into your rustic yet comfortable bungalow and relax. Welcome to your vacation!!

Day Two
Wake up and try out the complimentary breakfast Rise and shine for the first real day of exploring this volcano region! Enjoy the breakfast buffet and then get ready to depart for your Safari Float!
After a brief 20 minute-drive to the lower Penas Blancas River, we launch inflatable rafts on this slower moving section of the river. Enjoy a relaxing 2 hour float with no motor, only the incredible sounds of nature around you. Our bilingual naturalist guide will describe species of flora and fauna of the region.

The second part of the tour includes a stop at farm of Don Pedro. This is the highlight of the trip for most families. Shake his hand and learn about farm life. Finally we re-board the rafts for our final 40 minute-floats to Boca Arenal while we continue to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

The rest of the day is yours to enjoy! Relax at the pool at the hotel, visit the many natural hotsprings nearby or visit the nearby town of Fortuna for some local flare and restaurant options. Dinner on your own.


Day Three
Canopy Tour Day! Pick up between 7 and 7:30am, return at 12:30
Located at 2 kms from the center of the town La Fortuna, we will start our exciting adventure with a horse-back ride of about 40 minutes through a farming and pasture area within the farm La Orquidea, then continue our trip with a short hike through a tropical rain forest where our guide will point out the numerous species of vegetation and animals encountered in their natural habitat. Sometimes it is possible to see different species of animals such as white-faced monkeys, howler monkeys, agoutis, a variety of snakes, and great diversity of birds as well as a large variety of plants species such as orchids and trees. Some of the trees found here have a great grouser and height, and some of them may reach up to 55 meters (180 feet) in height. Among the species of trees present here and where the platforms are located on, it could be cited: Cocora (Billia hippocastanum) with 21 meters (70 feet), Monkey’s Comb (Apeiba membranacea) with 33 meters (106 feet), and Capulin (Mortoniodendron apetala) with 38 meters (120 feet) of height. From the first platform, you can slide through the forest canopy via ropes and cables. Our canopy tour location features 7 platforms connected with 5 traverse cables with different length of 112 meters, 78 meters, 100 meters, 60 meters, and 170 meters, and a rappel ending at the edge of a picturesque river bend.

The rest of the day is yours! Relax in the hotsprings, go for a volcano exploration hike or just continue to explore the grounds of your hotel!


Day Four
Wake up, have breakfast and check out of your hotel.
Your private transfer will be there to pick you up and take you to the El Tanque airstrip to prepare for your exciting NatureAir domestic flight to the beach!

This flight will get you there in about 2 hours compared with the 5.5 hour ground transfer you would normally have in store. Huge save for the kids and you’ll reap the benefits as well. Not to mention the great views that come with a flight like this!
Arrive at the Tamarindo Airstrip and your private transfer will be there waiting for you.
After a quick 15 minute drive you will be at the most opulent and family friendly resort in the country….The Paradisus Playa Conchal! Welcome to the Beach part of your vacation where there is so much to do, you literally won’t need to leave the grounds your whole stay.

Days Five & Six
These days are yours to relax at the beach, sunbathe by the pool, check out the kids climbing wall and eat and drink to your hearts content…its all included!

Day Seven
Wake up, eat breakfast and enjoy every last minute possible of the beach and tropical setting.

Your private transfer will be there in time to get you to the Liberia airport (only 1.5 hour hours away) in time for your domestic flight home.
