Day One

After arriving at the San Jose International Airport, you will be welcomed by a representative from the national chamber of tourism and taken through baggage claim and out of the airport to your driver.

After a brief private transfer, you will arrive to the winding road entrance of one of the two most sustainable properties in Costa Rica: Finca Rosa Blanca. (standard room)

Since 1985, when the Finca Rosa Blanca project began, the owners had one important goal in mind: to leave the minimum possible trace of our existence. Since the beginning of their adventure on the property, they have concentrated on an ambitious plan of recycling and regeneration, social consciousness and education.
To maintain perfect tranquility at Finca Rosa Blanca Country Inn only foot traffic and electric cars will be allowed on premises. All cars will be parked across the street in a large guarded parking lot next door to our greenhouses and the small farm where we raise our own produce as well as our sustainable organic coffee plantation. Guests will be encouraged to participate in the picking, processing and roasting of Finca Rosa Blanca coffee.

Settle in and relax and prepare for an exquisite organic dinner. Reviews say that “ Meals are superb--simple, organic ingredients orchestrated masterfully”
If you have time before your short stay ends, ask about the free Sustainability Tour of the Farm and the hotel where the many aspects of the Costa Rican Certification of Sustainable Tourism program are explained and experienced.

Day Two

Rise up to a sunny morning and exquisite breakfast, replete with freshly brewed organic coffee grown in our pantation and succulent mango, papaya, pineapple and bananas from the Inn’s own organic orchards.

Check out of your room and await your private transfer to Tobias Bolanos Airport

Upon arrival, check in to the counter and be very excited to board your NatureAir carbon neutral flight to Limon! (approx. 30 minutes)

By showing our guest all the wonders of nature and providing them with the close encounter with the rainforest we expect to be training them to be future active advocates of the protection of nature. Rates include breakfast and dinner daily.

Day Three

Wake up for a delicious carribean breakfast and then await your unique Eco tour to Natura Park-Indigenous Village departing at 9am (two hours)

Just 30 mts from Almonds & Corals a trail – like a secret passage – will take you into the forest, surrounded by the singing of the crested – mandibled toucan or the mealey parrot and the bay wrens and many other signs of dozens of tropical birds, here the frog’s land await for you. Just in the middle of the forest, we have created special conditions so that you can see the poison frogs which live in this area. Surrounded by beautiful bromeliad and water as complement for their habitat, you will be able to see three different frog species, among them the green frog or Dendrobates auratus and the red frog or Dendrobates pumilio.

While immersed in the forest, suddenly you will find an Indigenous Village… a conic thatch big hut all the way to the floor, “the USURE” where the chief of the clan used to live, now it is used as a ceremonial place. The head of the family will give us an explanation of the meaning of the different constructions, and he will tell us about their traditions. A little bit further you will find the Resting House. This building does not have walls, just a palm roof and the hammocks hanging from the columns This is an OROWE. Lay down and breathe the humid air of the jungle. After this you will see “El Rancho de piso” that means the floored hut, where the family lives. Here you will be able to see the materials they use for their floors. They will show you beautiful pieces of handcrafts including furniture made of wood with animal forms, unique of this culture and finally, the House of Handcrafts where you can purchase these very original souvenirs.

To end this interesting tour, The Medicinal Botanical Garden. During our human life, Mother Nature has provided us with the necessary elements for dressing, food and medicines to cure our health difficulties. Indigenous people have inherited a lot of experience on medicinal plants and we have a botanical garden that will let you learn some of the plants used as medicine at the Talamanca high lands. The Afrocaribbean people also use these plants. You will find the lemon grass tea which is used as a stimulant. It has essential oil.

Punta Caracol was born out of the idea of creating an Acqua-Lodge in a totally virgin and natural environment. The idea is to offer guests a pure and intimate experience with nature in a place of singular beauty where they can relax in comfort.
Built over the Caribbean Sea, along a mile long coral reefed coast, Punta Caracol is constructed using the traditional methods of the Archipelago: each handsomely crafted cabin is built upon stilts which support a wooden frame over the water and covered by a palm leaf roof - an unforgettable habitat congruent with the native communities of the region.

Natural building materials offered by the rich nature of the region were used- different kinds of native woods and plants, clays, leafs, bamboo, wild cane and others. The result is a warm close-to-nature ambience that takes us back to our origins.
