Natural Hot Springs
Costa Rica - Nature & Adventure Activities in Costa Rica

A relaxing natural activity you can do while in volcano territory is to visit naturally heated thermal hot springs. Hot Springs

Natural thermal waters are rich in natural minerals and are a wonderful treatment for your skin. Even without mineral mud baths or body scrubs, your skin will be soft and radiant after a dip in a thermal pool. All thermal resorts have pools of different temperatures for you to relax the day or night away in. Many of the hot springs near the Arenal Volcano are close enough so that on a clear night you can see lava flowing, or at least hear its and rumblings.

Resorts like Tabacon and Baldi in La Fortuna have a laybrinth of secluded pools amidst tropical gardens with views of Arenal Volcano Arenal-Volcano and swim-up bars. Contact us to make your reservation now.

Where to Do It?

Arenal / La Fortuna

The area around the Arenal Volcano is home to some of the most exclusive and elegant thermal resorts. Many hotels in the area offer their guests private hot springs. For those wanting a hot spring resort with pools of different temperatures, there are at least four hot spring resorts in the area.

Volcano Rincon de la Vieja

One of the most northern destinations in Costa Rica, Rincon de la Vieja offers a more rustic approach to the hot springs activity. Horseback riding tours or hiking trails bring you to natural thermal pools up in the forest where you can soak in nature and give yourself a natural mud bath.

Tours & Packages

We are happy to help you plan a day trip to Arenal from San Jose or plan a multi-day trip to the Arenal / La Fortuna area.
